While every person’s situation is different, in-person physiotherapy sessions often follow a general flow. The focus is on responding to your body’s needs over time rather than applying a fixed protocol.
Reviewing your history, current concerns, and relevant movement or postural patterns to understand what may be contributing to your symptoms.
Hands-on physiotherapy and fascia-aware work, with attention to stress, movement patterns, and how your body responds during the session.
Supporting the integration of positive changes into everyday life. This may include movement guidance, adjustments to training or activity, and referrals where appropriate.
Some people return periodically for support during stressful phases, routine disruptions, or when new physical concerns arise.
Treatment may involve hands-on physiotherapy, guided movement, and discussion of how to support changes between sessions. The number and frequency of sessions vary depending on individual needs and clinical reasoning.
Fees are payable by cash or card at the practice at the end of the session.
Our rates align with Discovery Health rates, which are generally within the range of most other medical aid tariffs.
We are able to submit claims directly to most major medical aids, subject to benefit confirmation.

I am a registered provider for the Discovery Spinal Care Programme. For members of Discovery, Bankmed or other discovery-administered medical schemes with qualifying back or neck conditions, physiotherapy care may take place within this programme. Entry depends on enrollment through your Spinal Network GP or surgeon, who refers you to our practice. If you enter through this route, assessment is at no charge.
In South Africa, certain medical conditions are covered under Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs). These include a range of conditions such as fractures, neurological disorders, and other serious or chronic health presentations.
When physiotherapy forms part of the clinically appropriate care for a PMB condition, it may be covered by medical aid according to PMB regulations. Understanding how this works can feel confusing, especially when navigating pain or recovery.
Where relevant, guidance around PMBs and physiotherapy can be discussed as part of your care. You need to book a 1 hour physiotherapy assessment for the relevant application to be submitted to your medical aid, and if approved, we may claim directly for subsequent sessions.
If you’re considering in-person physiotherapy and would like to explore whether this approach is appropriate for you, you’re welcome to book an initial consultation.
